Dropsafe Pouch for handheld items
The Dropsafe Pouch is a steel wire safety net designed to securely enclose and tether handheld items used while working at height.
This can i.e. be tablets, phones, two-way radios, gas detectors or other equipment, carried by personnel during inspections or indeed throughout daily work routines.
These items can pose a significant risk to the safety of workers and those in the surrounding area if they fall. The dropped object safety pouch will address the issue and prevent the accident from happening by providing an additional layer of protection.

Accidents involving falling handheld items can be a common occurrence, particularly in workplaces where workers are required to use handheld tools or equipment at heights. These can result in injuries ranging from minor cuts to bruises to more serious injuries or even fatalities.
According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, incidents involving handheld objects falling from heights resulted in 286 fatalities in 2019 alone. Additionally, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reports that falls from heights are one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities with falling objects being a significant contributor to these incidents.
According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority, during the period 2014-2018, 5,000 work-related accidents in Sweden were caused by falling objects.
These statistics all highlight the importance of implementing adequate safety measures to prevent accidents involving falling handheld objects.
