Anti-Slip Safety Solution for the 2024 Bundesliga-Saisonabschluss: Radsport – Gemeinschaft Hamburg von 1983 e.V. ( BMX Racetrack) has a long – standing tradition of promoting cycling excellence.

Since establishing its BMX Department in 1982 and opening its first track in Volksdorf in 1985, BMX racing has remained a successful part of the RG Hamburg. This tradition reached new heights in September 2024, when the much-anticipated Bundesliga-Saisonabschluss (season finale) took place at their modern BMX racetrack in Farmsen, drawing attention from BMX enthusiasts across Germany.
Challenge
Ahead of the highly anticipated Bundesliga – Saisonabschluss (season finale) in September 2024, faced a critical safety issue at their BMX racetrack in Farmsen. With just 14 days to go before the event, track Manager Eric Stürmer reached out to Real Safety following a recommentation from Randers BMX. The primary concern was the safety of the gate area, where a recent race had seen three riders crash due to slipping at the gate start.
Solution
Real Safety quickly assessed the situation and understood the urgency. After clarifying the specific need of the track, we measured the area and immediately set to work on providing a tailored solution. In just a few days, we delivered our high-quality anti-slip safety walkway covers for the gate area. This gave the track team sufficient time to install the solution and test it before the season finale. Watch the video here: Hamburg Journal Bundesliga-Saisonabschluss BMX race track.
