Real Safety delivers safety upgrade to ESVAGT

ESVAGT A/S was founded in 1981 and has a fleet of more than 40 vessels – supporting the offshore wind, oil and gas industries with a wide range of specialised services.

ESVAGT’s fleet of multi-role vessels are all designed and equipped to operate worldwide and in harsh environments.

ESVAGT Heidi and ESVAGT Leah were built by Ulstein Shipyard, Norway in 2012 and have sailed under the Danish flag since January 2022.

Both vessels were leased by Esvagt and went into Esvagt’s charter with Esbjerg, Denmark as their home port. Both have an X-bow design and are energy and fuel optimised.

Jesper Møhring Madsen, Captain on ESVAGT Heidi, welcomed the new vessels saying: “We have acquired two excellent vessels, both thoroughly well-made and maintained”.

Real Safety has supplied safety solutions to ESVAGT for many years, and on these two vessels, a requested safety upgrade on ladders and stairs of various sizes was delivered, along with anti-slip walkway covers for the top landing areas, and increased visibility and anti-slip safety on existing steel gratings of differing levels.

C&D Foods Esbjerg – Solution for slippery steps

C&D Foods was founded in 1969 in Edgeworthstown, Ireland, and is one of the largest private label pet food manufacturers in Europe.

These days C&D Foods offer manufacturing facilities and sales offices in 14 locations across Europe and has over 1.500 employees. The company has been in Denmark since 2016.

C&D Foods in Esbjerg, Denmark, has always had a very strong focus on safety – throughout its organisation.

When C&D Foods had issues with slippery steps and stairs in the production area, they turned to Real Safety, to come up with a suitable solution for slippery steps.

We did all measuring at the manufacturing site and suggested solving the issue with our standard step covers, which is an FRP anti-slip solution fitted directly upon existing stairs.

Once installed, the risk of slipping on the steps is greatly reduced and visibility is increased – without contributing to corrosion of any kind.

We delivered all the step covers cut to the specified size and ready to install. C&D Foods installed everything themselves.

World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Today is “World Day for Safety and Health at Work” – promoting the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally.

The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual international awareness-raising campaign intended to promote safety, healthy, and decent working conditions.
At Real Safety, we are serious about safety and offer bespoke, anti-slip solutions that help prevent accidents from happening.

Learn more here:
Every day, 6,300 people die as a result of occupational accidents or work-related diseases more than 2.3 million deaths per year. 317 million accidents occur on the job annually; many of these resulting in extended absences from work. Sustainable packaging

Real Safety goes green

In 2021 we started a “Go greener” initiative at Real Safety.

Here at Real Safety, we want to do our bit for the environment. A simple, yet important step, is reusing cardboard boxes as much as possible.

Our packaging materials are now made from recycled cardboard boxes.

We have our own cardboard shredder machine and use the shredded cardboard to ensure that when we send products out to our customers, these are safely wrapped up. Converting old packaging into new.

Welcome to new team – and Happy New Year!

Hope you’ve all made it safely through the holiday period.

This year, we will be working on some exciting projects for Real Safety (watch this space!), and we are pleased to announce that we have boosted our team with two new members, who will help us develop and implement our plans for 2022 and beyond.

Having worked in the UK for a number of years in B2B for construction, property consultancy, legal and market research firms, Puk Svensson joins us as our new Marketing Manager and will be responsible for driving our marketing strategy and day-to-day activities. She will be based in our Esbjerg office.

Jolly Rose Nielsen also joins us for a three-month internship and will be helping us with some really exciting projects. She is studying for AP Marketing Management Degree at EASV Business Academy, Esbjerg and is currently in her 4th semester.

Torben Farup, owner and founder of Real Safety, comments: “We’re really stepping up our strategic marketing and sales this year, including the development of a new website, logo and design. The latest appointments are important to help drive our vision of being the global leader in the prevention of slip, trip and fall accidents. I’m looking forward to working with both Puk and Rosie.”

Welcome to the team!
